Ok, I'm sorry to make a post about constipation, but WTH!!!!! OMG!! I have never experienced anything like this before in my life. Three tries it took. I will have to start taking Ex-Lax or something cause today was ridiculous.
Ok,I'm through with that. Eating is going good. I did have a bout yesterday where I wanted some real food. Had some squash and a VERY small piece of baked chicken breast for dinner. It was really moist and I chewed the heck out of it. But then I started worrying if I hurt my stomach by eatting real food to fast. Any thoughts??
Hope everyone is having a great day.

My post-op was liquids for a week, mushies for a week then start introducing regular foods so sound like you are on target to me for moving to real food.
I don't know anything about post band munching but I do know a lot about being plugged up. lol
If you can, increase your water intake, take a stool softener (if it can work with your band) you might need two or three of them, and exercise as much as possible. That usually gets me moving.
Take your fiber!! Fiber fiber fiber! Try a couple fiber one bars, that should help.
Thank you ladies.
@Bonnie I was wondering about the solid food because where some people have to do a 3 week or more liquid diet, I just did one day, but have to stay on mushies for 3 weeks. Oh the agony!!
@Ice Queen, I will get me a stool softener, because I don't EVER want a repeat of today. There are no words for the agony....again that word.
@Janelle, I have heard that the Fiber one bars will send you packing, looks like I will have to try those. I usually put some fiber in my protein drinks but I guess it isn't enough.
I was told to drink Benefibre every day. I only needed it for a short time while on the pain pills. It takes a couple of days to work but then keep you regular. I have no problems anymore, although I know some who do. Hope you get cleaned out soon!
I second what Sandy said...benefiber will end that traffic jam really quickly and won't make you feel all crampy like an ex-lax will. You seem to be progressing nicely on foods and don't worry about how and what you are eating. You seem to be right on point. Just don't be trying for friend chicken and pizza! LOL :)
Benefiber works pretty good for me too. Although, I have had some pretty extreme cases of constipation and the only thing that gets things working again is Miralax.
I'm having the same problem. I took metamusil and so far so good.
